(a Texas Professional Corporation), is the successor to the sole proprietorship, John A. Anderson, CPA.  Mr. Anderson began his career with the firm of Winkelman, Davies & Bache in Houston, forming his own practice, John A. Anderson, CPA, in 1952.  Mr. Anderson's clients were typically in the lumber, steel, oil, and home building businesses. John A. Anderson, Jr. joined the firm after graduation in 1975 from the University of Texas at Austin, and became a shareholder of the newly organized firm of John A. Anderson & Co., P.C.  in 1985. The Firm's client base expanded with the addition of businesses in the highway construction industry. John A. Anderson, Sr. died on January 6, 1990, at which time John A. Anderson, Jr. became the sole owner of the Firm. The Firm's name was changed to John A. Anderson, P.C. in 1992. The Firm continues to serve clients' financial reporting needs in a variety of industries, including the lumber, oil & gas, highway construction businesses, as well as performing tax compliance and reporting for individuals, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, estates, trusts, and family limited partnerships. The Firm moved its offices from the River Oaks area of Houston in 1991 to its current location in the Mellie Esperson Building at 815 Walker Street in downtown Houston in order to be more centrally located and have access to more professional and support services not available elsewhere. This is an old photo. The street car gives it away. The Firm became licensed to serve Louisiana-based clients in 1965 and continues to maintain its certification in both Louisiana and Texas.
